Annual Choir Events

The Fort Bend Boys Choir of Texas holds several major fundraising events each year benefiting all five music programs – Music Magic for six and seven year olds, our three treble choirs Training, Town and Tour; and Cantabilé, our alumni choir of changed voices. As a federally approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we depend on the proceeds from these events to fund our programs and help us continue our mission of "making a difference … one boy at a time." We hope you can join us in one or more of these events and support our choirboys.

Walk in Concert with the Fort Bend Boys Choir
Walk in Concert is the Fort Bend Boys Choir’s annual walk-a-thon! Choir members and other participants complete a 3-mile walk held in early November and the highest money raisers among the choirboys earn some great prizes. Of course, all participants receive a cool walk-a-thon t-shirts!

Money is raised through corporate sponsorships as well as choirboy pledges. This fundraiser is totally choirboy-driven and is a great family event. It is also a great way for local area merchants to market their business – a win-win situation! Proceeds help fund our scholarship program.

Christmas Musicale
Our annual holiday concert, the Christmas Musicale, has become a cherished seasonal event for many people in the Fort Bend and Houston Metropolitan area. In fact, some say that they simply cannot get into the holiday spirit until they attend our Christmas event!

All four performing choirs – Training, Town, Tour and Cantabilé – are featured. Each choir takes their turn on stage, coming together for the finale song, "Christmas is a Feeling," a perennial favorite. The beautiful sanctuary of Sugar Land Baptist Church in Sugar Land has been the home of our Christmas Musicale. It is the perfect venue to showcase our talented boys.

Gala Dinner and Auction
Our largest fundraiser of the year, the Gala Dinner and Auction is a themed event that raises money for all five of our music programs. Past themes include pirates, the Old West, Beatles and the rainforest. Patrons really get into the spirit of these themes, as reflected in their style of dress.

The live auction, silent auction and big board portion of the evening is always fun with an eclectic mix of auction items from sports memorabilia and jewelry to electronics and special trips. No matter what your spending budget is, there is something in your price range. The award-winning Tour Choir provides the entertainment and reminds all patrons that their support truly "makes a difference … one boy at a time." Money is raised through corporate sponsorships, dinner tickets and auction proceeds.

World's Finest Chocolates Candy Sale
Every spring, each choirboy sells the World's Finest Chocolates. Candy bars are $1 and boxes of chocolate-covered almonds are $2. This quick and easy fundraiser, held typically in March and April, is quite popular because the candy virtually sells itself. The chocolate truly is the worlds finest. Chocolate lovers can contact the choir office or buy from a choirboy to support the organization.

Spring Concert
The Spring Concert is the last official performance of the spring season, held in mid-May. All four performing choirs – Training, Town, Tour and Cantabilé – are featured. Each choir takes their turn on stage, coming together for the finale song. The Spring Concert is a great way to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of summer vacation. We are fortunate to return to the beautiful Grace Presbyterian Church for our Spring Concert.

You can purchase event tickets or become a corporate sponsor through our online store. Or, contact the choir office at (281) 240-3800 or wra@fbbctx.org for additional payment details.
