Retirement Communities

The Fort Bend Boys Choir is quite popular with local retirement communities. Residents love the joyful enthusiasm the choirboys bring into their lives. Our choirboys, in turn, love performing because they can witness, up close and personal, how their musical gifts make a difference and touch the audiences' hearts.

Two of our treble groups – the Training Choir and the Town Choir – predominantly perform for local area retirement communities. We realize these communities may not have an expendable entertainment budget, so we are willing to negotiate our performance fees. It is our way of giving back and saying "thanks" to the Fort Bend and Houston area community.

Performance Availability and Requirements

The Training Choir (our introductory group) and the Town Choir (our intermediate group) are typically available for performances around late November through early December for holiday events and again in the springtime in mid-April through mid-May. Because these are popular times of the year for concerts and performances, booking far in advance (especially for the holidays) is strongly encouraged.

Both the Training and Town Choirs travel with their own accompanist. These choirboys perform with piano accompaniment, not a capella. Therefore, it is important that the performance site has an acoustic piano (nothing electric) for our use. In addition, the Training and Town Choirs average 40 to 50 members so it is important to have enough room at the performance site for the boys as well as the audience.

Please contact the choir office at (281) 240-3800 or email wra@fbbctx.org for booking information and date availability.
