Australia Tour 2007

After 15 gazillion hours on planes, a little frisbee tossing at a Melbourne park was just the thing to stretch our legs.

The Victoria Market in Melbourne provided some world-class shopping opportunities.

Now, the students at Scotch college know how to clap on "Deep in the Heart of Texas."

Here, an Australia lamb is being fitted for an FBBC red windbreaker before being shorn (sheared?).

Who knew kangaroos could make great pillows?  No, Adrian, you can't take him home.

After performing for and with the National Boys Choir of Australia...

... we got to hang out together and show them the many ways to wear a Texas bandana.

At the Melbourne Aquarium, the "stars" (fish) came out, right Michael?

Mr. A paid a heavy price to get this Aboriginal fellow to pose with us.  (Ask the boys for the REAL story.)

At the Mosman Boys Prep School, we got to join in a little handball...

and perform for and with them after a workshop.

If I hear ONE MORE DIDGERIDOO!!!

Yep, we really were there.  That's the Sydney Harbor and skyline in the background.

Some of the most special moments are the impromptu songs.  Click image to hear "Be Still" at St. Mary's Cathedral.

Making friends with the locals is one thing we like to do the most, like here at Good Counsel College, Innisfail.

That evening, we premiered a special piece by the school's own composer with the world renowned didgeridooist, David Hudson.

We rode the world's longest cable gondola ride over the Australian tropical forest.  Thanks, boys, for not making it swing!

Our wonderful tour guide, Ms. Iris, directed one of the thank you renditions of "Deep in the Heart," a special treat for her and us.

They may sing great, but don't count on 'em to start a fire for you with just a stick.

Boomerang Tossing 101 and Spear Throwing 101 were part of our curriculum at the Tjapukai Aboriginal Park.

We're not that cold, these are our blue Lycra suits for our Great Barrier Reef dive.  Look out Smurfs!

Skit night in Australia is just like skit night every where else in the world we've been.  CRAZY FUN!!!

The stuff that legacies are made of... the 25th Anniversary Fort Bend Boys Choir of Texas Tour Choir.
